Viewpoint Perspectives
Viewpoints in Enterprise Modelling provide tailored perspectives on repository data, enabling users to view and analyse information relevant
to their roles. This approach supports better decision making and collaboration by focusing on the specific needs of different user personas.
Viewpoints allow you to create Viewpoints whereas Viewpoint Catalogues allow you to segment your
Reference Catalogues into one or more Viewpoint.
Example of Viewpoint Management
Business Process Owners may focus on Infrastructure Diagrams that show how their product relies on systems and networks. Cloud Architects or Infrastructure Managers prioritize the technical aspects, such as cloud architecture, and are less concerned with Business Capability Management. Solution Architects focus on the dependencies and technical components, analysing how systems work together to deliver solutions.
By offering role specific viewpoints, each user role can easily access relevant data without being overwhelmed by unrelated information. This boosts collaboration, as different roles like Business Process Owners and Solution Architects can share perspectives to ensure business needs are met by technical solutions.
This approach allows users to collaborate effectively while supporting broader enterprise transformation and digital transformation initiatives. By ensuring the right data reaches the right people, Enterprise Modelling enhances productivity and decision-making.
Additionally Visualizations can be saved under Stakeholders Collections. This allows stakeholders to easily retrieve, collaborate, and work on documents relevant to their role. #CollaborateIT
